Everton charged by UEFA

UEFA has billed Everton within the conduct of the supporters throughout their 2-1 Europa League defeat to Lyon on Thursday.



Merseyside Mother and father also confirmed they're investigating a pitchside incident at Goodison Park after Lyon goalie Anthony Lopes stated he was hit with a supporter.

The fan, who looked to become transporting a youthful child, made an appearance to lash out at Lopes throughout a brawl between both teams of players that happened right while watching home support in the Howard Kendall Gwladys Street Finish.

Everton have previously stated the fan continues to be identified and will also be banned from attending their matches later on. Sky Sports News understands it is likely that Everton will impose an eternity ban.

Their situation is going to be worked with through the UEFA Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body on November 16.

Everton captain Ashley Johnson had sparked the confrontation after pushing Lopes, with people of both sides' backroom team entering the concept of play so that they can restore order.

A UEFA statement read: "Disciplinary proceedings happen to be opened up following a UEFA Europa League group stage match between Everton FC and Olympique Lyonnais (1-2), performed on October 19 in England.

"Charges against Everton FC: Aggressions by supporters against players - Art. 16 (2) (H) from the Disciplinary Rules

"This situation is going to be worked with through the UEFA Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body on November 16."
